DCC Middle School Kickoff Tournament (Dec. 14th, Novi, MI- MS-31)

Academic Team Coaches:

It is my pleasure to announce the annual Detroit Catholic Central Fall Middle School Academic Tournament which will be held Saturday, December 14th, 2019 at Detroit Catholic Central High School’s campus located at 27225 Wixom Road, Novi, MI, 48374.

The tournament will be using the NAQT MS-31 set. The questions are intended for middle school players through grade 8. Each game will feature two halves with ten questions. The top finishers will qualify for the NAQT Middle School National Championship Tournament (MSNCT), May 8-10, 2020 in Rosemont, IL.

Tournament bracketing and playoff format will be determined once a clearer picture of the size of the field is obtained.

The fee structure is as follows:
• $50 per team for the first team
• $10 discount per team beyond the first team ($40 for team 2, $30 for team 3, etc.)
• $5 discount per buzzer (limit 2)
• $10 discount for teams travelling 100 miles or more for the tournament (one way)

Registration opens at 8:00 A.M. until 8:45 A.M. followed by a brief meeting for coaches and players. We expect to begin play promptly at 9:00A.M.
