New Jersey Academic Bee and Bowl - May 3rd at Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, NJ

Post by TylerV »

International Academic Competitions is delighted to announce that the 2020 New Jersey Academic Bee and Bowl will be held at Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, New Jersey on Sunday, May 3rd. Like all of our full-day USABB competitions, this tournament is open to all students in 8th grade and younger who have not yet played at a full-day USABB tournament this academic year. This tournament features both individual (Bee) and team (Bowl) competitions.

No prior qualification is needed, and out of state students are welcome as well. To register, please visit https://www.usacademicbowl.com/regional-registration/ and follow the instructions. Be sure to read the registration rules, including the requirement to bring 1 reader for every 2 teams (i.e. 1 reader for 1 or 2 teams, 2 readers if registering 3 or 4 teams, etc.) or otherwise they must email info@iacompetitions dot com in advance of the registration deadline and pay a $60 penalty per missing reader. The registration deadline is 6pm Eastern time on the evening of Sunday, April 26th.

During the lunch break the D Set Version of the National Qualifying Exam for the US Geography Championships & International Geography Bee will be offered (one exam is used for both competitions). The cost is $10; students may sign up on the spot, though advance registration is recommended using the USABB tournament registration form.

Further details are available on the tournament website at:
https://www.usacademicbowl.com/events/newjersey/ while questions about the tournament can be directed to info@iacompetitions dot com

All past USABB questions are available free of charge to practice with here: www.usacademicbowl.com/about/training-resources/

Thanks, and we hope that you and your team will be able to join us!
