ACF Winter Northeast at Yale (New Haven, CT)- 1/16/2010
ACF Winter for the Northeast region will be held at Yale (New Haven, CT) on Saturday, January 16, 2010.
Registration will begin at 8:00 AM with the first round starting by 9:00 AM. To register, email [email protected] with the number of teams, buzzer systems, and staffers your school intends to bring. Once the location of the tournament is finalized, we will post that information here.

RPI: 1
Dartmouth: 1
Brown: 1
State College HS: 2
St. Joseph's HS: 1
Doug Yetman/Hunter College: 1
Buzzers: 4
Packet submission and fee schedule information will follow ACF rules:
Packet submission- According to ACF guidelines, any team with at least one person on it who played a regular, collegiate, academic quizbowl tournament prior to September 1, 2008 is required to submit a packet in order to participate in an ACF tournament in 2009-2010. Please refer to http://www.acf-quizbowl.com/documents/packetsub.php for specifics on packet submission.
Fee Schedule- We will be using the standard ACF Fee schedule.
Base fee - $120 per team.
Packet submission discounts/penalties:
Packet submitted prior to or on:
November 22, 2009: -$50
December 6, 2009: -$25 (-$50 for teams not required to submit packets)
December 20, 2009: No penalty (-$25 for teams not required to submit packets; optional packets will not be accepted after this deadline)
December 27, 2009: +$25
January 3, 2010: +$50
After January 3, 2010: The editors may grant one or more 24-hour extensions at an additional penalty of $10 per day.
Other discounts/penalties:
Fully functional buzzer systems: -$5 per buzzer (No maximum)
Staffers: -$10 each (No maximum)
Laptop: -$5 each (Maximum 1 per team.)
Travel: -$10 per 200 miles (one way, as determined by Google Maps)
International: -$20 (For teams representing schools located in a different country than the tournament host.)
Schools new to ACF: -$25
Teams new to quizbowl: -$75
High school teams: -$50
Minimum fee: $0

After a double round robin, Brown emerged undefeated. They were followed by Yale A, which had two losses, both of which were to Brown.
