T-Party Mirror at Tulsa (12/6/08)

Post by jazzerpoet »

This is the official tournament announcement for the T-Town T-Party Mirror, to be held in Chapman Hall at the University of Tulsa on Saturday December 6th, 2008. This is an open tournament, so anyone who wishes to compete may do so. However, hybrid or mixed-affiliation teams are not allowed, unless approved by me.

Now for the important stuff...

Fees and Discounts
Base Fee: $100
Additional Teams: $80/each
Operational Buzzer Discount: -$10 (limit 3)
Travel Discount: -$5/per 75 miles (max of -$25)
Volunteer Discount: -$10 (only if we use them)
Minimum Fee: $50 (per team)

Packet submission is NOT required to compete; however, you may submit a packet to receive the discounts, if you so choose. Information about that can be found here:

<viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6290>

To register, or if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me. I hope to see many of you in Tulsa in December. Thanks.

Cheers!

I forgot to mention that the minimum fee does not include packet discounts, so you could play the tournament for less than $50, if you submit a packet by November 8th.

I believe that our finals week is the next week after this. However, I will bring this one up at our practice anyway since we haven't been to OK this year.

I'm fairly sure WUSTL will show up with a couple teams

Date Change

Post by jazzerpoet »

Due to multiple circumstances, the Tulsa T-Party Mirror will now be held on Sunday December 7th, as opposed to Saturday. I hope this does not conflict with anybody's plans.

Thanks.

What is the field for this? There might be a Missouri-Columbia team of me playing solo going to this now that I stopped caring about our football team.

As of now, no one has officially registered, though I have gotten some interest from a couple of schools. I plan on sending out one more e-mail soliciting teams sometime tonight. I will keep you updated.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we'll be able to attend after all.

It's the Sunday before finals for us so we definitely won't make it.

Yeah, with those drops there is no reasonable way for me to get down there without paying exorbitant bus fees. Mizzou is unfortunately not going to be able to come either.

Cancellation

Post by jazzerpoet »

Due to an insufficient number of teams, this tournament is hereby cancelled. I would like to thank the Harvard people for giving us the opportunity to host this tournament.
