The registration deadline for this will be noon central time on Friday, so I can make schedules. If you're not on my list, please post in here or email me at [email protected].

Andrew Guyton, would you like to be my teammate? We are currently listed as the only free agents apparently remaining. As we will have just been on the mostly Iowa team for the main Minnesota Open itself, we should have a better feel for each other's literature strengths.

I have the scoresheets and will be entering them into SQBS in the near future. We were only able to play the first half of the round robin because a combination of food-getting and the meta packets took longer than expected, so we got kicked out of the building at 2.

I'm going to enter in the stats for this tonight. In the meantime, could I please ask people who play packets 7-10 to hold off discussing the questions until after Illinois Open? I plan to write two more packets and hold a second half-tournament (free to anyone who was affected by the lit tournament Kerplunk Experiment at Minnesota) at the IO. At Minnesota, everyone has heard packets 1-6, so go ahead and discuss those (but please wait until the East Coast has had their mirror).

Thanks.

He played solo and beat Weiner/Byrne 105-15. He beat Ted and CHRISRAY 100-20. No one scored more than 50 points against him on 15-tossup matches.

That's some crazy shit, Magin. Well done.

I once beat Jonathan Magin in a literature tournament. True story.

I mean that I beat him in one round during this tournament, not overall.

I know that there is a movement to play this tournament in the Boston area next weekend. If you are also going to be at IO, keep in mind that I plan to run a tournament on packets 7-10 (while writing an additional two packets for a 5-game round robin, plus one game crossover for a final ranking). If various east coasters want to play against those who will be at IO and already played or heard packets 1-6, keep this in mind.

I think the consensus was that the tournament should happen at ACF Fall rather than next weekend. Unfortunately it's hard to get a feel for what people want without everyone voicing their opinion, but I think it was generally acknowledged that this would draw the largest number of players.
