No way to run this at the same time as the MD mirror, eh? Damn.
Or at the same time as the original Sun n Fun?

EDIT: Fuck it, I and possibly as many as three other people will probably show.

Oh wow. I'm very happy that this was announced before I bought my plane tickets to Maryland for their mirror.

Illinois is trying to get a team together for this. At the least, it looks like Mike Sorice and I will be there.

By now, you should know that you can count on me even if I have to play solo, but I would like to make my first offers to Bruce Arthur, Tim Hartman, and Arsalan Khan as teammates. I presume that there are no packet submission requirements, but I had not been paying attention to the announcements for the orginal Sun 'n Fun. My trip to ACF Nationals ended up being far more expensive than I had anticipated, but I have no regrets. Moreover, IRS rebates are due by electronic deposit imminently.

With less than two weeks to go, I still need some teammates, but you can count on me. One of my UIC acquaintances will be out of town for summer vacation, for example, but I just chirped Arsalan Khan. Auto racers are athletes, but thoroughbred horses are pets.

With one week to go, this is a call for definitive confirmations from any additional teams planning on attending that have not emailed me yet. Please get back to me as soon as possible at my email address above. Thanks!

Congratulations to Illinois! They emerged victorious, clearing the field after a ten game double round robin.

Full team and individual stats can be found at:
http://groups.northwestern.edu/quizbowl ... dings.html

Reminder: do not discuss any of the questions from today's tournament, as it will be mirrored again in late June at UMD. Any comments on the questions can be directed to lead editor Ahmad Ragab at aragab AT mail DOT usf DOT edu.

Thanks to all the teams that participated. We enjoyed having you here and hope to see you all again soon.
