Quick results:

After a 10-team round robin the top 8 teams were separated by 3 games. Those 8 teams divided into two four-team playoff brackets (the other two teams went home) and at the end UCI A emerged victorious with a 10-2 overall record. The rest of the top bracket was UCLA B, UCLA C, and USC A, I believe in that order of finish. Individual statistics were not readily available, but the top two individual scorers were apparently in some order Jason (Ray) from UCLA B and Team Theme Name Rock (Dwight) from UCI A. Full stats should be posted to the UCLA team's website sometime after the conclusion of their high school tournament tomorrow.

Okay, guys--

Are there ways to make the tournament run smoother and faster? Are some of the problems we encountered preventable?

Let's gather some thoughts to make the next tournament better.

Thanks.

I just wanted to say this tournament contained the best game it's ever been my pleasure to lose. Both teams go 10-1 over the 20 tossups with bonus conversions over 20, 9 lead changes, no lead over 65 points, winning team comes from 40 points behind after tossup 18 to get the last two tossups and win the game. Thanks to Steve, Lev, Chris, and Billy; my teammates; and of course the writer(s) of packet nine for such a well-played game. May future editions of EFT produce such thrillers.
