Moon Pie is sucking, right now

Post by grapesmoker »

I was going to post this in the discussion forum until I realized there was really nothing to discuss. If you're still playing this tournament, you should probably go home; if you're on the west coast and about to start, you probably shouldn't.

glad we didn't go then. Is it just :chip: bad, or is it approaching CBI levels?

It's neither Chip nor CBI bad, just your average garden-variety sloppily-written bad.

I'm hardly surprised by this suckage, so I can't really find it in myself to be outraged and throw things as a consequence. It's pretty much what I predicted it would be.

So I noticed looking at the stats from the OU mirror that SQBS now shows whose packet was read during which round. Is this a new feature or did I just not notice it before, because it's cool.

Unlike Moon Pie.

When you type in game scores, there's the "Rnd" box - you don't need to put numbers in there. You can also enter letters, so in a round with a packet written by a particular school, you can just put their name in instead of the round number.

In other words, the feature isn't new, but I guess the application is.

SQBS has a menu in which the names of the packets may be provided. It is located under Settings, Packet Names. It is not necessary to edit any HTML in the statistics report or type the packet name in the Round box on the Game Entry menu. I am not sure when this feature was introduced in SQBS, but I do know that it is at least in version 4.0.

That was introduced before (and at the behest of the editors of) ACF Regionals 2005. Chris was able to add that functionality in, like, a week. He's an awesome dude.
