NAQT South Central SCT at WKU (February 3, 2018)

On behalf of Jacob Menix (who will direct the tournament), I am pleased to announce that the South Central site of the NAQT Sectional Championship Tournament will take place on February 3, 2018 on the campus of Western Kentucky University.

Location: The tournament will almost certainly take place in either Cherry Hall or College High Hall. The former building is where the vast majority of our past tournaments have taken place, and the latter building is right next to Cherry Hall. Updates will come as the tournament date approaches.

Fees:
Base fees: $125 for the first team from a school; $100 for second or subsequent teams

Discounts:
$10 discount per working buzzer system (must accommodate at least eight players)
$30 discount per experienced moderator
$25 discount (per team) for schools new to quizbowl (neither competed in nor hosted SCT in 2016 or 2017)

Please pay us on the morning of the tournament in either cash or check. We cannot accept cards. If for whatever reason you need to arrange payment through an alternate method, please let us know ahead of time.

To follow up on the previous post, we will be hosting this tournament in College High Hall. Note that this is a different building from what we usually use! (It's right next to Cherry Hall, so parking should be exactly the same as usual.) Also, all registered teams should expect a logistics email to come in the next couple of days.
