NAQT Novice at Rice (1-23-2016)

I am pleased to announce that Rice will be hosting NAQT Novice on Saturday, 23 January 2016. This will be a two division tournament (one for completely new players, and one for players with little college experience).

Logistics
Check-in will begin at 8:30 A.M. with the opening meeting beginning at 8:40. Rounds will begin at 9:00. Upon your arrival, your team will need to submit any buzzers for discounts, and then we will collect money for lunch ($8 per sandwich from Jimmy John’s, free drinks). Lunch will take place between noon and 12:45, depending on when the food arrives. An email containing all information regarding logistics (building location, parking, payment, etc.) will be sent to participating teams a few days prior to the tournament.

Fees
Base fee: $25 for one team from a school, $50 for two teams from a school, etc.
Buzzer systems*: -$5 each
Staffers: -$10 each No maximum.
Travel: -$10 per 200 miles traveled one way

* No discount for broken buzzers; no maximum.
