Claremont Colleges Quiz Bowl with be hosting a mirror of the Minnesota Undergraduate Tournament on Saturday, April 12, 2014. The field will be capped at 14 teams.

Registration time is at 8:30 AM so we can begin playing at 9:00 AM

Eligibility and Difficulty
According to the MUT 2014 Tournament Announcement

Eligibility: Only undergraduate and high school students can play this tournament. If you are a grad student, you may not play.

Difficulty: The difficulty of MUT 2014 will be similar to that of MUT 2013, with (ideally) some of the difficulty spikes evened out. The goal is to provide something 

along the lines of past EFTs or MFT 2013--harder than ACF Fall, especially in the early clues and hard bonus parts, but below regular difficulty.

Base Fee: $120 per team

Travel Discounts: $5 off per 100 miles traveled one-way to the tournament (as we determine based on Google maps)

Buzzer Discount: $10 off per functioning buzzer set provided. Up to 2 buzzers sets may be used for discounts.

Staffer Discount: $10 off per moderator provided and used (contact me at [email protected] beforehand if you plan on bringing a staffer)

Additional Teams Discount: $10 off for additional teams (i.e. the base fee for that team is now $110)

Minimum entry fee: $80

Caltech A won. Still waiting for stats...

Glad to hear that USC finally played and great job to CalTech! Travis informed me stats would probably be up sometime around Thursday night.

The order of finish was something like:
1) Caltech A (8-0)
2) UCSD B (7-1)
3) Arcadia (6-2)
4) UCSD A (5-3)

And I'm not sure beyond that. By ~50% consensus from the teams, the tournament did not go into playoff rounds and ended after an 8-round RR.
