About open eligibilty: The only kind of open teams that we are allowing at our site are high schoolers who want to play and get around MSHSAA's restrictions. If you want to play at this tournament and are in high school, you need to e-mail Jared and give him a team name, along with buzzers and any staffers you are bringing.

EDIT: We are allowing any open teams as long as they are judged not to be "super."

As a follow-up to that, everyone should know what a "super team" looks like.

(This is just a giant post so people can find things they need to know in one place)
Location
The address of the university is 100 E Normal, Kirksville MO, 63501. Parking and hotel accommodations are plentiful.
Food: There are various options for breakfast and lunch on and off campus. We will be taking payment at the tournament or after, if you need some additional time to process it through your university's reimbursement system. If you are going to pay with checks, please make it out to "Academic Competition Organization."

The tournament is being held in Baldwin Hall, which is where we've held ACF Fall the past 2 years (No. 9 on this map). We'll be meeting in Baldwin 176 in the morning.

Note: There is a parking lot right across the street from Baldwin Hall. I would recommend using that one. If you're coming from Columbia, you turn left onto S Franklin from I-63 and then turn right at the stop light on E Patterson. Baldwin Hall is the second building on the left after you turn there.

(Taken from the announcement made by Libo)
Distribution (per round):

4/4 Literature
4/4 History
4/4 Science
3/3 Art (1/1 Painting, 1/1 Music, 1/1 Other Arts)
3/3 RMP (1/1 each)
1/1 SS
1/1 Geo/CE/Academic Other (with at least 0/1 or 1/0 being Geo)

There will not be trash at this tournament. We might, however, write a trash tossup per round to be played for the amusement of the teams at the host's discretion.

Pricing (taken from a prior post)
Base Fee: $120
Buzzer Discount: -$10
Travel Discount: -$5 per 100 miles traveled one way
Staffer Discount: $10 per staffer
Laptop Discount: $5 per laptop
An open team of high school students who all attend the same school may also claim a $15 discount.
A solo college player not on an open team pays $15 to play.

Final Tournament Information

by JMAC the Chef
Hello everyone,

If you are one of the teams listed as attending our mirror of QUARK this Saturday I wanted to go ahead and reconfirm some information for you before you trek to Truman this weekend. Most importantly, we will be starting at 9:30 am and are expecting teams arrive no later than 9:00 am at the latest. The address for our campus is 100 E. Normal St, Kirksville Mo, 63501 and we will be competing in Baldwin Hall which is Building 9 on this map: http://admissions.truman.edu/visit/CampusKVMap.pdf Since 11 teams will be competing in this tournament we will be using a modified robin round format. Considering this size, we could foresee 5:00 being the finishing time, though we will try our best to wrap the tournament out before then. If you are planning on staying over Friday night, their are a variety of hotels and motels, a list of which can be found here:http://www.hotelsone.com/united-states- ... QgodZRAAzw If you have any comments, questions, or emergencies between now and Saturday, please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 816-510-4395. Thanks for your time, and we hope to see you in "Missouri's North Star" on Saturday!

Just as a reminder, we're playing an 11 team round robin tomorrow.

EDIT: It's now a 10 team round robin. One of Mizzou's drivers got sick.

Congratulations to Wash U, who won the tournament in the first game of an advantaged final against the Battle Hymn of the Tamil Tiger Mother. Max from Battle Hymn was the top overall scorer.

Stats will be up within the next week once our statsperson makes them available.

Stats are up on the link provided. Please let me know there are any errors, and I'll do my best to correct them. Note on the format: we ran a 9 team round robin because MO Valley had it's driver get sick.

We had the only game of our site's advantaged final get recorded. Once the guy who recorded it figures out how to put it on Youtube and the last mirror of QUARK occurs, I'll link to it here.
