While the tier system I'm using may look like it was based on the one I used last year that looked like it was based on Magin's tiers for CO predictions and may also not have changed any of the original wording from that post by him, this system was totally made for VCUOMaryland and no other tournament.
For Saturday-
Tier 1 (I wouldn't be surprised if any of these teams won the tournament.):
Jerry V., Jonathan Magin, Bruce Arthur, and Andrew Hart
Eric Mukherjee, Ted Gioia, Ike Jose, and Chris Ray
Tier 2 (I don't think these teams will win CO, but they have the ability to beat any team in the field.):
Will Butler, Matt Bollinger, Rob Carson, and Sarah Angelo
Aaron Rosenberg, David Seal, Doug Graebner, Sam Bailey
Tier 3 (These teams look solid to me; I don't think they'll upset any of the tier 1 teams, but they could beat the tier 2 teams on a good packet.):
Daniel Hothem, Andre Kessler, Raynell Cooper, and Arun Chonai
Tier 4 (I don't think these teams will upset the tier 1 or tier 2 teams, but they could upset the tier 3 teams.):
Eric Douglass, Bryn Reinecke, and Dan Passner
Carsten Gehring, Bernadette Spencer, Jon Pinyan, and Isaac Hirsch
Aidan Mehigan, Andrew Lim, and Stephen Eltinge
Alex Gross, Neeraj Vijay, and Bill Tressler
Maryland
Greg Tito, Eric Stahl, and Harry White
Tier 5 (I don't know who two of these people are, so I put them in this tier. If they beat a bunch of tier 4 teams, I'm willing to admit I ranked them too low.):
Brick Barrientos, Wendell Wagner, and Grant Colvin
For Sunday-
Tier 1 (I wouldn't be surprised if any of these teams won the tournament.):
David Seal, Rob Carson, Bernadette Spencer, and Sam Bailey
Alex Gross, Bill Tressler, Neeraj Vijay, and Roger Craig
Silver Screen Test All-Stars
Carsten Gehring, Evan Nagler, Dan Passner, and Jon Pinyan
Tier 2 (I don't think these teams will win CO, but they have the ability to beat any team in the field.):
Jonathan Magin, Jasmine Rogers, Andrew Hart, and Casey Retterer
Maryland A
Tier 3 (These teams look solid to me; I don't think they'll upset any of the tier 1 teams, but they could beat the tier 2 teams on a good packet.):
Isaac Hirsch, Aidan Mehigan, Raynell Cooper, and Chris Manners
NC Wesleyan and Steve Ours
Eric Douglass, Bryn Reinecke, Tejas Raje, and Ian Lenhoff
Tier 4 (I don't think these teams will upset the tier 1 or tier 2 teams, but they could upset the tier 3 teams.):
Sarah Angelo, Matt Bollinger, Aaron Rosenberg, and Eric Mukherjee
Tier 5 (I don't know who two of these people are, so I put them in this tier. If they beat a bunch of tier 4 teams, I'm willing to admit I ranked them too low.):
Maryland B
I'll admit that, being a Midwesterner, I don't really know the ability of a lot of these individuals, so I relied on people in the IRC to help, then made executive decisions that contradicted what they said.

Re: VCU Open Maryland Tier Predictions, Saturday and Sunday
I think Carsten is underestimating Casey Retterer's trash ability. I'd put that Magin/Rogers/Hart/Retterer team in the top tier.

From talking with her, I'm almost certain that Diana Gerr is on this team, while Andrew Lim is tenative.OctagonJoe wrote: Aidan Mehigan, Andrew Lim, and Stephen Eltinge
EDIT: It is possible that my information may be outdated though.
