New Jersey 2010 NAQT States 2/13/10 @ Princeton

Post by olsb25 »

After some deliberation, we have decided to hold the state championship on February 13, 2010. This is a joint-hosting with Rutgers, but the tournament site will be Princeton. We know that this is rather early, but because of various difficulties with our breaks and midterms, plus our own packet submission tournament, leaves this as the best possible date. Info on fees, etc. to come in the next few weeks.

You MAY run into an issue with February 13. As Monday, February 15 is President's day, a number of schools may be on vacation. (However, you can never make everyone happy!)

Seton Hall Prep will be there!

Thank you Kunle, Princeton & Rutgers for your thoughtfulness in changing the date and, of course, for agreeing to host in the first place.

Saint Joseph's High School will also be there, with 2 teams, 2 buzzers and 1 moderator if you need one.

Yeah, thanks guys for working this out and considering all the appropriate factors. We really appreciate it.

We wish you luck in hosting it, and luck to all the teams attending.

Bumped just to remind Jersey schools that this State Championship tournament will be here before we know it, so hopefully all interested parties will register ASAP, with the result that we have a highly competitive, broadly representative and very deep field, forcing whoever earns this year's state banner to truly earn it.

Since the mods haven't moved this over, here is the actual announcement.

Actually, I just don't have any other registrations. Also, I don't have editing capabilities over the initial topic post, it being Kunle's.

So, because I can't edit the topic post of this thread, I'd like to direct you back to what was going to be the official thread of the tournament. I've included a field update (we have 6 schools now). If it's ok with everyone, lets move the conversation (if it really needs continuation) there.

So we're moving the discussion on tournaments here, so I have edit controls over the topic post. Moderators, if you could please merge the NJ NAQT States thread that Kunle made into this one, that would be great.

That won't work, actually, because the original post will be the oldest one (i.e., the one Kunle made). We'll need to get someone to resplit them, make sure the last post in the old thread is a link to the new one, and lock the old one.
