Unfortunately, I feel like that a lot of the top teams were missing a lot of their best players (Kellenberg was missing Nik, we were missing Lily and Zihan, and St. Joe's was missing 50% of their A team). Hopefully, we'll get more chances to play with our full teams later.

In retrospect, I realize that December 5th was a bad day to hold a tournament - when we had initially rescheduled from the original Halloween date, we hadn't checked to see if the new date was an SAT/SATII day, which it was. We had a couple of tournament staffers come late for this very reason. Also, about a week before the tournament, it was evident that the weather wasn't planning on cooperating with us. We'll have a more foresight when we schedule BOAT II in the spring.

I dunno, you managed to get a 24 team field for a tournament. I think many people would kill for a field that large. At Mizzou, we've never attracted more than 18 teams to one event, and that was only once out of four times.

Hi everybody, here's the stats for that Dunbar Mirror.

Prelims were in 4 groups of 6. Top 3 in each pool advance to the top playoff tier, bottom 3 to the bottom playoff tier.

Top playoff tier was 2 groups of 6. There was a slight shuffling of seeds to prevent excessive rematches and intra-school matches. The bottom tier was 2 groups of 4.

The intention was for all teams to get a crossover game to determine final rankings of 1st-12th, but delays in starting the tournament and starting the playoffs, combined with the building snowfall led teams to opt out for all except the top four spots. The last round in each playoff bracket featured de facto semifinals (Hunter A vs St Joe's C; Kellenberg A vs St Joe's A) between teams that had been unbeaten all day. Hunter A and St. Joseph A won to advance to the championship that Hunter won 360-130 (taking a 300-0 lead at one point). Kellenberg defeated St. Joseph C to take third place. All 11 rounds' stats are combined in this file.

Thanks to all teams that came, and great job Jay, Ian, and all in running the tournament.
