If I can get a ride, I will staff this fine tournament. Also, I think that you should reevaluate the 10 PP20TU limit and instead let this be open to everyone in their first and second years.

We (most likely) will not require additional staffers, however, if need arises, we will contact you.

If a player scored over 10 PP20TH, we're afraid they might dominate the field and prevent other players from gaining more experience. However, if we don't have enough teams playing, we may add in that revision.

From a cursory search of the HSNCT results, I find two players that are rising sophomores that would be excluded, assuming their schools sent teams. Please, use common sense.

I agree with what Donald says. Also, individual statistics aren't flawless indicators of skill level; and players that are marginally better should be winning games anyway.

We will still be evaluating players who aren't eligible but still want to play on a case-by-case basis.

Also, how do you find who's a rising sophomore from the HSNCT stats?

We have discussed it and will amend the eligibility guidelines to include all first or second year players, but after that, players in their third or fourth years will still be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Email me at [email protected] if you have any additional questions.

The top post has been edited to reflect this decision.

Yeah, Fall Novice.
Although David, you probably shouldn't be coming to this. This is meant for novice players, and you're...not novice. Theres really nothing to stop you, but please use personal judgement.

*edit* Full Write Up:
Congrats to La Jolla B. who went undefeated in the top bracket to take first place. Second place was Rancho Bernardo B, and third went to La Jolla C. (Teams were sorted by record in final bracket, then record in preliminary brackets). David Hu, a sophomore playing solo, and Diamond Bar A in their first tournament narrowly missed the top bracket.

Although this was labelled as a "novice" tournament, there were a few teams that contained people that most wouldn't consider novices (through no fault of the aforementioned people). They technically fell under the requirements we gave, however, next time (if there is one), we will try to make sure that qualifications are better written. We apologize for the confusion this caused.
