ITT Quizbusters, Jr., Lansing, MI area TV competition

Post by Buzz Buzzard »

http://wkar.org/qbjr/schedule.php

That's this season's schedule, just a series of games--no bracket or anything. It fills various summer time slots in lieu of other regular Quizbusters reruns. I'm not sure if the Jr. version uses NAQT material like its high school counterpart.

Epsiodes for QB Jr. and Quizbusters are downloadable, and the archives for both editions go back several years, so if you feel the need to observe Kurtis Droge in all his glory, there you go.

Oh No! The archives only go back to 2006, the year after I graduated. My vanity and ego can't be boosted by watching myself in my heyday.

False alarm, I was looking at QB Jr. rather than the real deal. Still, nothing from my years in the high school archive, though. At least I can watch my brothers.

East Lansing in past years. Division finals have the most questions.

Yeah, the year you would want to see Kurtis score some would be any episode that East Lansing is in for 2007; 2008, which I thought was somewhat a bad year for QuizBusters, doesn't really convey that much.

The set they have for both of these shows is pretty snazzy. I'm impressed.

No, that would've been at least 2004.

I believe you can find the matches if you change the game number to like 18**

He did play on Jr., but they don't run that as a tournament. Each school just plays one game.

quizbusters is a high quality show. They use NAQT questions for the regular competition, and QB Jr. is house-written, but they do a good job with it. I'm wondering how I would get a job with them...
