Do you guys remember any questions about video games as an answer or bonus in your history of playing quizbowl?

Off hand, i can remember a PACE-NSC question we just practiced the other week where the answer was about Link's sword. One player was the most excited i've seen him all year, which shows you the depth of his academic knowledge.

There've definitely been questions about GTA, Mario, and probably many other staples of video games though, in NAQT. I just can't think of any offhand.

I have seen several bonuses about Halo, NAQT or not.

My teammates love trash since they've been introduced, which sort of has the opposite effect quizbowl is supposed to have. They eagerly look forward to trash tossups and one has even taken to writing entire trash packets. So the moral is, OP, don't look forward to trash. It might just consume you.

At Yale's Spring tournament I negged on a tossup about Double Dragon after about 7 words identifying the main characters by their names with "Dueling Dragon". Major props to anybody who can beat Double Dragon 3 even with all cheat codes.

 I did, somewhere back around 1993. Insanely hard game, but once you start getting all the other players on your side and learning their abilities, it helps a lot.
