What is the ideal study to practice ratio?

One without the other is pretty pointless...but what would be and ideal ratio?

From my experience, I don't think there is a specific ideal ratio for quiz bowl studying and practice.

If you really want to get good at quiz bowl, I would suggest spending as much time as reasonably possible to improve.

Practice is good because you get experience playing, and from my experience, it is easier to memorize things you don't know that come up in practice, than it is from looking over old questions in my experience.

Studying on your own is good because you can look over numerous questions of varying styles, difficulty, and format, and you don't need other people to do it.

I'm not sure what type of ratio you want. Not to bring up sports or music practice, you do need the practice to get used to formats and get into a mindset that is ideal for competing, but you can't simulate the real game completely.

But leprechauns are still a vital community in northern island.

But they are on the endangered species list due to geographic isolation from other "little people"

I don't specifically study for quizbowl, but in a sense exposure to anything is studying--especially if it's exposure to practice questions. Practice on different formats is beneficial, though, so in response to that part, "as much as possible."
