The question is stated in the title. Which buzzer do you enjoy playing on because of its tone?

I like the Quiz Machine thing we use here at Eastside, but I've heard others find it's quack annoying.

It has a quack? Wow, i would think that to be pretty annoying, no offense to you.
Perhaps your buzzer has other advantages though.

I like the ones that go "doodly-doodly-doo"

I agree with Evan. During buzzer checks you can make music with the different pitched buzzers.

Those are the best. The two sets for opposing teams have different pitches, so that one goes "doodly-doodly-doo" and the other goes "deedly-deedly-dee." My teammate tried to make a song with them once.
EDIT: NINJA'D! [Whitman beat me to the buzz. Again.]

I get really aggrevated with the ones that make that flat errrrr sound, you hit the button and they make one loud flat note for about a second or so.

I'm never bothered by the Zeecraft sound, but the actual product isn't worth it because Zeecraft sucks so much. The ones I hate are the ones with any kind of really high pitched tone, and especially the ones with a really loud obnoxious low tone on one side and a really high tone on the other side. I dunno what they're called, but they were in Matt's room at Vanderbilt and we have run into them very frequently before.

The Officiator from Keter, or whatever it is, has buzzers that make very pleasant sounds.

Do you mean The Officiator from
Anderson Buzzer Systems? It has a pleasant sound, and is named The Officiator.

It would be nice to have a buzzer that just lights up and doesn't make any sound.

A buzzer that can be placed on silent mode? That would be interesting. How about one that vibrates... oh wait....
There is also the computerized buzzer system where you can have your voice recorded in so that you can hear your own name when you ring in. Basically, self-recognition.
Granted, that would be creepy.

WJ buzzer moos (among other things).

Yeah, but as Neel and I found out (much to our disappointment), you can't really play on the moo because it's on too much of a delay. Is anyone getting on that?

The only thing I like about The Judge is the sound it makes.

I like the sounds of buzzers that make low, melodic sounds, rather than high, abrasive ones.

No particular buzzer noises come to mind as wonderful, but I do like Zeecraft's sound. The quacking buzzers are probably the worst, for sound.

The Quiz-A-Matic, the most excellent of all buzzers, also has the most pleasing sound.

When working, the simple "ding" of the Quiz-a-Matic bell is acoustically awesome.

Is there any way to acquire a Quiz-A-Matic anymore? We played on one at ICT and thought it was really cool, but the internet hasn't been able to give me a website (presumably the company never made it to the internet?). Agreed that acoustically and feel-wise it's a very neat system.

I've never really cared about the sound my buzzer makes. I do care about the color that its light is.

To my knowledge, University Research, the company that made the quiz-a-matic, is out of business. I will attest that it's a quite durable system.

One of those D schools (Dorman, Danville, Dunbar. el al) had a cool system at Vandy and/or UTC last year that made a very cool sound as it turned on. It was also expandable to include extra teams. I wrote the name down somewhere, but can't find it.
