Stuyvesant Academic Tournament (SAT) (TBA/07) New York, NY

Post by catsasslippers »

The Stuyvesant Quizbowl Team is proud to announce its first annual high-school tournament. The questions will be house written, 20/20 ACF fall difficulty questions. The tournament will take place on September 29th, 2007, in NY, NY.

The fees are as follows:

Base fee: 80$
Second team and beyond: 70$
Buzzer System: -5$ per system
Travel discount: -10$ per 200 miles traveled
Base fee: 50$

A word on buzzer systems: we have none. The cap will be based on how many working buzzer systems we can muster up. Also, if your team plans to bring more than two teams you must provide a buzzer system.

If you would like to register email me, Nina Charap, at Ncharap @ aol.com. In your email please let me know how many teams and buzzers you intend to bring.

We look forward to seeing you in September.

Is this tournament still on?

Edit: Nevermind. Found out through Facebook that it has been cancelled.

Yes, sorry on behalf of all of us for not updating here.

The 9/29 date has been postponed due to a lack of responses and other logistical problems.

Look out for an update soon on another tournament date. We expect it to be around mid-late november.

Just so you know, November 17th will be the date of RM's tournament, so if you want to go to that, don't make it that date.

Indeed. There was a bit of miscommunication; it is being worked out presently.
