yep. i've been seeing these for the last month or so while i sit on my futon watch MTVU, and contemplate doing hard drugs because there is never anything else to do except read a book. And who wasn't to read a book?

But I like the commercials. The publicity for the "quiz bowl scene" is good. Maybe kids will see that it is cool because it is on MTV and will get involved and get good at it. Fat chance, though.

I don't know about the rest of you, but a lot of that stuff was pretty run of the mill in my quiz bowl matches, especially the trash talking and hip hop questions.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the "Shakira" commercial.
