Qblitz is excited to be offering its Novice Open on Sunday, November 8. As the name suggests, this tournament is perfect for newer quizbowlers and will feature introductory-level questions. The tournament is open to any player who has not yet finished high school.
The questions for this tournament are being produced by Matt Weiner, who has extensive experience producing high-quality high school quizbowl questions for HSAPQ.
Like all Community Open events at Qblitz, these events are asynchronous and individual -- players can play from their home computer at a time convenient to them. All matches are simulated after the fact to determine the tournament champion.
And like all Qblitz events, in addition to playing the event, participants get access to statistical reports and analysis after the tournament concludes.
There is no need to form teams for this event -- it's for individual players. But if a coach wants to sign up a team, she will have access to all of her players' results and statistics afterward.
Players/coaches can register at the Qblitz Events page.
