Kentucky Individual Championship (KIC)

Post by Scottietodd »

Hello to all!

The Kentucky Quiz Bowl Alliance is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual KIC - Kentucky Individual Championship, to be held at Woodford County High School (180 Frankfort St, Versailles, KY 40383) on Sunday, March 1, 2020. We will again be using the Scobol Solo and Masonics sets and will also again feature overall individual competition as well as content area competitions in Science, History, the Arts, and Literature. At this time, we are uncertain as to whether we will be offering specific competition in Social Science and RMP, or whether some of those will be wrapped into History and the Arts.

The cost for the KIC is $30, and competition will feature knockout rounds, as well as head-to-head matches. The actual format will be set after we see how registration goes. You may register at the link below.

Just like last year, we will be hosting this event in concurrence with the NAQT State Championship, which will be held one day earlier on February 29th at Woodford County High. We hope that you will take the opportunity to both compete in the state championship with your team on Saturday and then stay over and enjoy some fun and fellowship in Lexington before competing in the KIC on Sunday!
