ILLIAC Online - Powered by Groger Ranks (APRIL 21, 2019)

Groger Ranks is pleased to announce that we will be hosting an online discord mirror of ILLIAC for high school teams. ILLIAC is a set aiming to mirror the difficulties of MUT, EMT, and SMT in the past few years and will be good preparation for any team aiming to attend a nationals tournament, or just any team that wants to have fun playing a well-written set at a higher difficulty! More details can be found here: http://hsquizbowl.org/forums/viewtopic. ... 09&t=22131
This tournament will be closed to high schoolers, so only high schoolers can play and they can only play for their normal school affiliations. If any high schoolers would like to form a chimera team, they must first get permission from the editors of ILLIAC. The tentative field cap is 8 teams. If we exceed this number, we will definitely increase the field. If we fail to meet the team cap in a month or so, we will consider opening this field up to college teams as well although the plan remains to keep this an hs-only mirror.
On that note, as this is an online tournament, it will not provide the same experience as an in-person mirror. For any teams with in-person mirrors nearby, as of now in Georgia, Illinois, and Texas with Texas Invitational, we strongly urge that they consider attending those instead. This online mirror is meant mostly for teams that don't have mirrors nearby or have other conflicts on the day of their nearest mirror.
As of now, the date for the online mirror will be on April 21, 2019. The fee to play will be $60 per team.
