The Advanced Math & Science Academy is hosting Central Mass Academic Tournament 5 on Saturday, December 15. (snow day is Sunday December 16)

Right now, the field is full, but teams who want to be on the wait list should also fill out the registration form above.

AMSA is conveniently located in Marlborough MA, near all the major highways – 495, 290, MassPike, etc. 40 minutes west of Boston, 25 minutes east of Worcester. We have lots of free and easy parking. There's even a new hotel across the street from us if any team is looking for a road trip!

Please arrive for Registration between 8:00 and 8:30 am with Kick-off meeting/rules at 8:45 and play starting at 9:00.

We will be using NAQT Introductory-level set, IS-180A. We will be using comp math toss-ups and bonuses. It is our intention to have a novice team division if registration numbers allow. We are a PACE gold-certified tournament, which means teams competing here can qualify for HSNCT and PACE's NSC, end of the year national tournaments.

Field is capped at 24 teams for now. Teams may have 1-6 players on it (4 at a time, 2 subs). Schools cannot swap members between teams during the tournament. Late arrival players must be on the roster at registration and presumed to “sit-out” until arrival.

All teams are guaranteed 10 rounds of play; plan is for 5 rounds before lunch, reseeded rounds after lunch; advantaged final if necessary. We might need to tweak this based on number of teams in field.

Fees:
Team 1: $80
Additional Teams: $70 each
Buzzer discount: $5 per working buzzer system
Staffer discount: $10 per experienced staffer

Payment in cash or check (payable to AMSA Charter School) is expected at registration when an invoice will be provided. Please let us know if you prefer to pay early or need an early invoice.

Lunch
There are tons of restaurants and fast food places within a 10 minute drive, but few that are a quick walking distance. We will have a Team Pizza deal - $15 gets your team a large cheese pizza and 4 bottles of water. You can pay on the morning of the tournament. You’re also free to make your own arrangements of course.
