Iowa 2018-19

Post by CometsCoach »

The Iowa Quiz Bowl League has informed NAQT that we are lifting our suspension of business relationship. IQBL has also informed NAQT that we are looking forward to NAQT using good judgment when making public comments regarding potential staffers at its tournaments, and we are also looking forward to NAQT making positive strides in its vetting process.

The season calendar features the upcoming Novice (Oct. 6), the Fall Open in Sergeant Bluff (Oct. 27), the Fall Open in Waukee (Nov. 17), the Winter Open in Ankeny (Feb. 16), and our state finals for high schools (March 30) and middle schools (April 13). Additionally we will be back on television in the Sioux City Market this coming April through a partnership with Buena Vista University and KCAU-TV 9, and also through Grand View University and Mediacom 22 (local cable access in Central and Eastern Iowa).

You can find a calendar of our events at tinyurl.com/iqbl2

Good luck to all this season.

Novice, on 10/9, used Northmont HS's NMMS2. Stats are here--Ames won, followed by a pile of Waukee teams.
The Fall Open, held two days ago, used NAQT IS-180A. Stats are here-- Ankeny A won, followed by Ames A, Ames B, and Central Academy A.
