Hello everyone!

The North Gwinnett Academic Team is happy to announce that we will be hosting the second annual North Gwinnett Invitational Tournament (NGIT II). The competition will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia.

Each team will play a minimum of five (5) matches during the preliminary rounds. A single round will consist of twenty (20) toss-ups and twenty (20) bonuses without bounce-backs. The top thirty-two (32) teams will advance to a single-elimination play-off based on overall win/loss record. Ties will be broken by points per game (ppg), and if necessary, points per bonus (ppb). Each playoff round will consist of twenty (20) toss-ups and bonuses. The field cap is tentatively set for 40 teams.

A nonrefundable registration fee of $70 is required to enter your team. Each additional team can register for a fee of $60. If you bring an experienced reader, the registration fee will be deducted $5 per reader (max 2). Furthermore, we will be offering an additional $5 discount for teams that bring a buzzer system. If your school is attending from outside of GA, we will also be providing a $10 discount. If you do not bring a reader after signing up with the intent to do so, you will be charged a $5 fee on the day of the tournament. We will be providing a set of questions to teams at the conclusion of the tournament. We would like to encourage multiple teams to register. Please register as early as possible so that we can coordinate logistics as necessary.

We will have a lunch break after the preliminary rounds and will be serving lunch on campus. Please do not leave campus grounds for lunch so that we can ensure that the tournament runs smoothly and on time.
