2006 UGA HS Bulldog Brawl Tournament Thread

Post by UGAQuizdogs »

Granted it's still three months away, but here's the first list of schools attending the 2006 Brawl at Cedar Shoals HS in Athens:

Brookwood (Defending Champion) (2)
Cedar Shoals (1 or 2)
Advanced Acad of GA

Obviously, it's early and we still have plenty of spots open. If you're interested, please email me at [email protected].

Thanks

Hello everyone,

Here's hoping your fall semester is winding down smoothly.

Here's is an update on the teams for the Bulldog Brawl:

These teams are confirmed:

Salem

Athens Acad (2)

Adv Acad of GA

Aiken (SC)

Norcross (2)

Montverde Acad (FL) (2)

Cedar Shoals

Providence Christian Acad.

Clarke Central

These teams have expressed interest and have yet to confirm. If this has changed, please let me know.

Dobyns-Bennett (TN)

With this said, we're allowing schools to enter a third team for $40 extra. I am sending a new invoice reflecting this change (see bottom of this email for invoice). We are trying to get to 36 teams, but may....*may* extend the field to 42 if we can find more people to help.

If you're on this list and have yet to confirm, please let me know and I'll reserve you a spot.

The deadline for teams to avoid a late fee is Friday January 13, 2006 at 11-59-59pm ET.

DATE of the Brawl has been changed back to Jan 21, 2006. Jan 28 is the same day as the James Island SC tournament and several of our schools are going there as well.

Sorry for the confusion and we hope everyone will be able to make it Jan 21 to Athens.

It is not too late to sign up. The deadline is Friday January 13, 2006 (EXACTLY one week from today) at 11-59-59pm. After that time, we reserve the right to charge a $25 late fee.

If the number of your teams have changed, please let me know ASAP. I would like to email out the gameday packet the Wednesday before the Brawl (Jan 18). This packet will include your schedule, food choices in the Cedar Shoals area as well as several scoresheets for you to bring.

If you have any questions or comments, please let me know.

Thanks for your support of the UGA CBAT. We'll see y'all at the Brawl.

Great tournament! Incredibly well-run. Thanks, Robin.

Also, and though it requires the message board cardinal sin of rambling AND commenting on other posts themselves, that's the most comprehensive set of high school statistics I've seen since PACE, and that was in a link.

It was also good to see David Fitzgerald, the Heritage legend himself.
