Coaches,
Middlesex Middle School will proudly host the 6th annual Charter Oak Scholastic Open on Saturday, December 10th, 2016. This tournament will use NAQT's MS-20 question set. The tournament style will depend on the number of teams present, but will likely consist of 5 or 6 preliminary rounds and a single-elimination playoff. There will be trophies for the top teams and awards for the top individual scorers. The top 15% of the teams in the field will qualify for the MSNCT in Dallas in May. Teams will consist of at most 6 players.
The entry fee is $80 for one team, $70 for additional teams. There will be a $10 per buzzer rebate (max 3 per school) and a $15 moderator discount. Checks and P.O.'s should be made out to "Middlesex Middle School" with "Quiz Bowl" in the memo.
Breakfast will be provided for competitors, coaches, and guests. The entry fee covers one pizza per team, but teams can purchase additional pizzas for $12 each. We ask that additional pizzas are paid for in cash.
Teams from other schools that want to compete in this year's Charter Oak can register by clicking here.
