Winter 2015 Recent Events Challenge, Jan. 12-16

Avery Enterprises is holding its Winter Recent Events Challenge this week (Jan. 12-16). Back in September, we had schools from 22 different states take part--so if you're looking to play against people from all over the country without leaving your classroom, you should try it.

We have both HS and MS divisions. Teams play together, a la the old KMO, but e-mail the answers to us instead of dealing with a disk.

You can sign up and play all the way through Friday afternoon as long as your team's answers are back to us by Friday at 7 pm EST.

We had schools from 20 different states participate in the HS division. Congrats to La Follette HS, our winners!

I have attached the rules and questions to show how it works. We will do the Recent Events Challenge again next Sept and Jan.

The answers were given to participating schools but are not included here as an exercise for the interested reader to Google any he doesn't know.
