Posted: Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:45 pm
Virginia Tech will be hosting its iteration of its VTACO set on January 31, 2015. We are aware that this is the same day as VHSL Conference deadline, but, as of yet, no conference has scheduled their event for that date itself. It will be held on our campus in Blacksburg, VA.
PACE Qualification
This tournament has been awarded Platinum certification from the Partnership for Academic Competition Excellence. This means that the top 25% of teams from this tournament will earn a bid to PACE's National Scholastic Championship in Reston, VA (outside Washington, D.C.) on June 6-7, 2015.
Location
The tournament will take place on the third floor of McBryde Hall (225 Stanger Street). Teams will meet in Room 304 before play begins.
Registration
Registration will begin at 8:30, with play beginning at 9:00.
Fees and Discounts
Base fee: $60
Working buzzer set: -$5
Competent Moderator: -$10
Scorekeeper: -$5
Travel (in excess of 200 miles one-way as determined by the TD): -$5/200 miles

Teams are limited to six players, four of which may play at any one time. If a school wishes to bring more than six players, they must register an additional team.
