The Sixth Edition of the Greenville Comet Open will take place on Saturday, 1 February, at Greenville High School (Greenville, IL). We expect that the field will be a very strong one, mainly representing the best teams in central and southern Illinois. We would love to attract some teams from neighboring states.
Greenville is located approximately 45 miles east of St. Louis along Interstate 70. We are about 3 1/2 hours from Indianapolis and nearly 5 hours from Chicago by car.
I'm working on securing a set of questions, but the likely source will be HSAPQ. I open to suggestion of a set for us to mirror that would be of mid-to-late season difficulty for high school. This is a 4-on-4 tournament with a roster cap of 8 students per team. The field will be be closed at 32 teams, and I will run a wait list if necessary. Powers and negs will be part of the tournament, and bonus questions will not rebound. Teams attending must have an adult in charge (per building regulations). Discounts will be provided for B (and possibly C) teams, working lockout systems and bringing a staffer. Staffers will be modestly compensated and have their lunch provided.
Please contact me by e-mail ([email protected]) if you wish to staff or wish to be put on the list to receive e-mail announcements for the tournament.
Happy buzzing and good luck to all this coming year.

Quick results (18 teams):
1: Carbondale A (Zetterman solo)
2: Litchfield A
3: Riverton A
4: Greenville A
5: Mt. Vernon
6: Carbondale B (three freshmen)
The nasty weather kept a lot of teams from coming, but the tournament overall went well.

I'm sorry for being THAT guy, but our freshman (not on the forums) wanted me to ask when stats might be uploaded. Thank you.

There were some issues with the entering of stats during the tournament (though by tournament end, they were complete through R5.
I can't speak for Jay, but he did say that he would get to them sometime this week.
EDIT: I have it on good authority that they will be posted in relatively short order.
