Anyone have info about SCDS's 15th Annual Hornet Invitational? Who all is going?

I know that Brookwood and James Island and Irmo (I think) are going to SCD. I am betting that Dorman will be there as well.

We (St. Andrew's from MS) are bringing 2 teams.

I do wish the format was going to be more NAQT-like (since they are using NAQT questions), but it should be fun anyway. Looks to be a really strong field.

I have split off the discussion of bouncebacks and placed it in the Theory section. -- Mod

Has anyone gotten ahold of Byron for the tournament? I have emailed him twice and have received no responses.

I do not know if the host of the Savannah Country Day Tourney is reading this, but if you are, please respond if there are any spots left for the tournament. Milton (defending champ from last year) is looking to come, but due to some strange, irresponsible lack of communication on our part has not signed up. If there is a spot for us, please let me know through this thread.

From what I've gathered, Byron hasn't been able to be contacted lately.

So Milton beat Dorman in a preliminary match...was Milton the fourth seed just because of a low point total?

Congratulations to Brookwood!

There were FIVE undefeated teams at 6-0 or 7-0; Brookwood, Irmo, Heritage, Milton, and James Island. I do not know the point totlas, but that's the order of seeding and of average points per match played. Dorman was the highest seeded one loss team at #6.

Brookwood had a 358.33 average for 6 prelim matches.

Yeah, Milton was ranked fourth due to a low point total, but I suppose part of that was due to a low point score of 210 in our defeat of Dorman. Either way, congratualtions to Brookwood.

I heard that Dorman B made the final 8 instead of Duluth.

Anyway, it was a well run tournament with a great field.

Brookwood beat Duluth in the quartefinals. Duluth is a strong team, one of the many strong teams in GA that do not play out of state much.
