Dunbar Academic Tournament - Lexington, KY (2/2/2013)

Paul Laurence Dunbar High School will be hosting an NAQT tournament on February 2nd. There will be both JV and Varsity fields. JV entries will be limited to players sophomore level and younger but anyone may compete in the varsity division. Lunch options will be available on site.

Fees: $60 per team and all teams will receive a copy of questions played
Every team attending must bring a working buzzer system

Payment: Checks may be mailed to P.L. Dunbar, 1600 Man O’War, Lexington, KY 40315, or brought on the day of the tournament. We can accept cash or checks made out to Dunbar High School and marked to the attention of the academic team.

Format: This event will have a pool play format in the prelims, and for the playoffs we’ll re-bracket into another set of pools based on prelim performance. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 7 games. Each game will use 20 toss-ups and their bonuses. Powers and negs will be used and bounce backs on bonuses allowed.
