Yellow Jacket Invitational @ Sidney HS (Sidney, OH, 4/13/13)

The Sidney Academia Team will be hosting the first annual Yellow Jacket Invitational on Saturday, April 13th, 2013. The tournament will be a mirror of this year's LIST set produced by Ladue Horton Watkins High School. Last year's list set was very accessible and definitely one of the best sets of the year.

All teams will be guaranteed seven (planning on ten assuming a full field) games, and the cap for the field is 36 teams.

Fee Structure:
$75 for the first team
$65 for any other teams
-$5 per buzzer set (limited to the number of teams you are bringing)
-$10 per experienced moderator (please get in touch with me if you plan to take this discount)

Checks should be made out to Sidney Academia, and payment may be made in advance (mail to Sidney High School Attn: Joe Czupryn, 1215 Campbell Road, Sidney, OH 45365) or may be brought the day of the tournament.

This tournament has been gold certified by PACE, meaning that the top 20% (8 teams) will qualify for the PACE NSC!

Lakota West B has been added as the final team, to round the field out at 18 (not as big as I would have liked but still good for the first year I suppose). Details are coming to coaches momentarily!

Congratulations to Northmont on the tournament win!

The finish of teams in the top bracket was as follows:
1 - Northmont
2 - Sycamore
3 - Dunbar
T-4 - Fisher Catholic and Sidney
6 - St. Charles

I thought this tournament in its inaugural year went very well - I heard several positive things throughout the day. If anyone in attendance has any feedback to make things better in future years, please let me know!
