Congratulations to the elite eight of GSAC XII , all of whom qualify for the PACE National Scholastics Championship. Dr. E. T. Chuck and Matt Weiner were both on hand to personally extend invitations to the top 8 of this strong 50-team field.
Thanks to everyone who attended and who helped with this successful tournament. Complaints were few and compliments were many. We will try to get more detailed stats released soon.
The top 8 were:
TJ A (Champion)
Raleigh Charter A (Runner up)
State College A
TJ B
Richard Montgomery A
Charlottesville A
Princess Anne
Spotswood A
Also congratulations to St. Anne's-Belfield A (STAB A) for winning the consolation bracket.

Lots of new faces!
Impressive show by New Kent A -- they labor in the Bay Rivers District (Region II, Group AA) and have often been overshadowed by Poquoson, who've hung in there with Spotswood, R.E. Lee and Charlottesville in the past.
Ocean Lakes, Bassett and Marion Senior also made their debuts AFAIK.
Bassett is a good 4 hours away and if Marion Senior is the Marion that's finished third two years on the trot at VHSL states, then (1) they graduated all but one player and (2) they travelled a good 6 hours to get there.
