EDIT 9/26/11 - This tournament has been cancelled due to a lack of interest. Rockford (Auburn) is going to attempt to use this set at their F/S and Novice tournament in January.

Loyola Academy is hosting a mirror of the Minnesota Novice Tournament, to be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011. The entry fee is $75, which includes lunch (Lou Malnati's pizza and pop). Preference will be given to single teams; if you wish to register a second team then let us know and you will be notified of your status as of September 24. The field will be limited to 20 teams.

This tournament is targeted to freshmen and sophomores. Juniors and seniors may play if they are new to high school quiz bowl (have played for one or less years), but no one starting on your Varsity A team may play this tournament.

The tournament will be 9-10 rounds long for all teams, with potentially two more games played as finals (I haven't heard how many packets this is yet). If you don't plan on staying for the entirety of the tournament, please do not sign up for it.
