Mirroring and Collaborating for Fall 2011

Does anyone have any plans to collaborate on something for next fall yet? Might as well start thinking about it now. Will another BATE set happen? GSAC? Others and new collaborations?

Also, I'm posting this, because MSU definitely wants to host something in the fall.

I've heard that Fall Novice will see a third iteration.

Ohio State will be writing a high school tournament, and we are interested in finding schools to mirror our set.

On top of FNT if it happens, I'd be interested in mirroring just about anything up here. Definitely nothing at HFT/Prison Bowl level, but regular difficulty. I can pitch in questions if necessary.

Which will be regular difficulty, or at least, around that level.

GSAC will be happening although I'm not sure if it'll be ready for the height of the fall season (GSAC proper is early December, although there is a good chance it gets finished earlier like GSAC XVIII).

WUSTL is again interested in finding collaborators for our annual regular difficulty tournament, WUHSAC.

If I were interested in contributing for any of these collaborations, who would I speak to?

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but when does writing for this begin? I'd be willing to write 20/20 each for literature and fine arts.

WKU could potentially look into getting an NAQT IS Set (no more A-sets though) or HSAPQ set for our fall tournament, however I really enjoyed mirroring a quality housewritten tournament this spring and would definitely be interested in hosting a Kentucky/Tennessee mirror of something.

Also, I'm personally looking to contribute to a tournament or two if they'll have me. I can write History and Current Events, and some Social Science.

Ladue is probably going to run another one or two tournaments in addition to LIST this year; we'd potentially be up for a "we write one packet you let us mirror the tournament free" sort of thing.

St. Joe's enjoyed mirroring BATE and Maggie Walker's GSAC XVIII this year. I heard that there might not be another BATE next year, but I assume there will be a GSAC XIX, and, if there is, SJHS would certainly love to host it in the Northeast region next year.

SCOP Novice 2 is juuuust about in the works, and we'd love to have it mirrored.

I don't know what the mirroring situation is in Missouri - I've heard a rumor that Jason Loy might want to run something - but SCOP Novice 1 did a few agreements along those lines and I'd imagine we'd be interested in doing more for SCOP Novice 2.
Also - when is LIST 2 going to be ready? NIU might be interested in mirroring it, if it's around the time of one of our tourneys.

Even without the asterisk, your statement isn't legally binding.

Note: the above is not legal advice.

Well, I'm one of the editors of FNT this year, so personal pride will mean we'll probably mirror that instead of SCOP if we can and do host a novice tournament.

We're also going to shoot for pumping out LIST II much earlier this time around; I'll post some announcement when I have an idea of when.

Stupid question; will this be used at OSU Fall or OSU Winter (or GBAM3?).

Bergen is tentatively aiming to host a tournament for the NJ/NYC market, probably in December.
We attempted a house-write this past year, and have a few packets of questions which I can clean up and add to over the summer to submit to someone for a collaboration.

Minnesota is producing a novice level set that is available for mirrors from September 3rd to October 30th. It'll be written and edited by Minnesota undergraduates, and Mike Cheyne, Andrew Hart, Bernadette Spencer and Rob Carson will be looking over the set.

Norcross is writing a varsity-level tournament for this Fall and we will make sure it's a high quality set. We'd love to have mirrors!

If anybody has a use for 400 tossups without bonuses outside Illinois, we're writing Scobol Solo again, and it will be finished around mid-October.

GDS would like to mirror/collaborate on something in the fall. We would be willing to write a few packets as needed.
