64-bit Soundbyte - Gaming/Music Mini-Event (Gauging Interest)

Post by maharhar17 »

Hello all,

For the Purdue Side Event weekend, I'm thinking about writing a mini-event entirely focused on video games and music (with some contributions from the Purdue Quiz Bowl team). I'm thinking about maybe having 5-6 packets of 16 ACRONYM/NAQT length tossups, with difficulty ranging from half-step below Super Acronym to at Super Acronym. Each packet will be roughly split in half between gaming and music content. The event would be relatively short, and be completely free.

Is there any interest in something like this? If there is enough interest in the mini-event as a whole, I can try to get it run at other places and/or in the discord.

Let me know what you guys think.

UPDATE: Well, the Purdue Side Event just died (RIP). However, as of now, this will be run at the Illinois Side Event.

I'd like that but I wouldn't be good.

I'd sacrifice a few fingertips for an opportunity to play this

I initially thought this was another video game music tournament and was only mildly enthused, but now that I've read it correctly I'm extremely enthused.
