John Charles Daly II Mirror at WUSTL (6/30/19)

Post by Charbroil »

We will be hosting a mirror of the John Charles Daly II trash tournament at Washington University in St. Louis on Sunday, June 30th, 2019. Unlike in previous years, this will be a full day's tournament taking place the day after our NASAT mirror. I, Charles Hang, will direct this tournament.

Registration

To register, please e-mail me at [email protected] and CC our team email at [email protected] with the following information:

1/ How many teams you will bring.
2/ How many buzzers you will bring.
3/ How many players you will have, as well as their names.
4/ How many staff (moderators and scorekeepers) you will bring.
5/ Your phone number.

Please form and register a team before the event. A team formation spreadsheet is available here.

Fee Structure

$20 per player
-$10 per staffer
-$5 per buzzer

Please make checks out to "Washington University Quiz Bowl." We can also take cash but prefer checks.

Location

The tournament will be in the Danforth University Center, which is located here.

Time

Because the DUC opens at 9 over the summer, we will start at 9:30 AM. We expect to finish around 5.

Tournament Format

Historically, we've had 4 or 6 teams for these events, so we will either run a triple round robin (9 games) or a double round robin (10 games) depending on which of those scenarios occurs. If we have more teams, we will pick another format that guarantees teams at least 9 games.

Thanks for everyone who attended our 2019 St. Louis Open Trash tournament! Team "Kill Bill: Vol. 3" (Max Ryle and Rohan Rai) won after going 7-1-1. Harrison Whittaker from NYU was the top scorer, with 78.89 PPG.

Stats for the tournament can be found here: http://hsquizbowl.org/db/tournaments/58 ... all_games/
