SOUNDTRACK playtesting at ICT

Post by Silverman »

There will be an advance screening of SOUNDTRACK, a film audio tournament, at ICT. The playtesting will be held on Friday, April 13, starting around 9:30 PM (my flight is scheduled to arrive at 8:30).

We've decided to keep the field to 10 players at most so everyone can be in one room. We'll run through all 100 tossups, shootout-style. Signups are here.

SOUNDTRACK will also be showing at HSNCT and NSC.

I'm not sure what the proper way to sign up is...I put myself on the doc but I also don't know if you want something other than "first 10 people to put their names down."

Ideally, we'd have 10 people who have reasonable knowledge of the subject, but I'm not sure how to determine that.

"First 10 people to put their names down" should be fine, but if there's significant interest we'll try to get whittle it down to people who can provide better feedback (whatever that means).

I'm hoping more people can sign up for this just because I'm not sure if I will have time to play this at ICT and I think a smaller field here might mean a more enjoyable experience.

I'll do this. HSNCT weekend is so packed anyways and I anticipate I'll be a rock on the non video game questions, so I'm happy to playtest it early.

Do you have any idea where this will be at?

It'll be in one of the game rooms, which will mostly be set up by the time we plan to start, but we're not sure which one yet. Hopefully one of the easily accessible ones close to the lobby level.

Edit: This is in Tegel, International Level (in case my other post doesn't get approved).

I’ll second Mike, I haven’t watched as many of the movies that came up here but this was very fun to play.

This is a great set, and playtesting was a hoot and a half. I highly recommend playing if you're able.

Definitely one of the most enjoyable quiz bowl experiences for me. Bravo to the writers!

If there were powers, Roxanne might have won or at least finished higher--ALL of her buzzes were like one or two clues.

I wasn't sure if the conceit of this tournament could work over 100 tossups, but it absolutely did and it was a blast! If you're at all interested in this sort of stuff, this event is a must-play.
