Help HSQBRank with gathering data

Post by AKKOLADE » Thu Jul 10, 2014 11:23 pm

Hi,

I'm working on gathering some data for a HSQBRank project. I am trying to compare teams' best aPPB with some geographical information about their schools.

If you could please take some time and help add ZIP codes to this spreadsheet, it would be enormously helpful to me.

A couple of notes:

1) If you see a mistake, please make a note of it in the third column for me. This could include me listing the wrong state, spelling a school name wrong, listing a pseudonym instead of an actual school, it's a duplicate listing, it's an incomplete school name, etc.

2) If it is an international school, please enter INT.

The link is https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Thanks in advance for your help.

We already have over 700 ZIP codes filled in! We have about 600 to go. Thanks everyone!

This is a supremely useful resource for such: http://www.naqt.com/stats/school-search.jsp

Though of course it will struggle with any needed disambiguation.

Holy cow. Less than 24 hours after originally posting this, we have every single team with a ZIP code or an explanation as to why we don't (either a duplicate, a pseudonym or an unclear location). I'll do some clean up this weekend and figure out what I can come up with.

Thank you again to everyone that contributed to this. I cannot say how much I appreciate this help.

Here are the ones I need more info on:

Central A (MO) played at Kickapoo

I need Mount Carmel of California's ZIP code.

Patrick Henry A (VA) played at CSI.

The team I have listed as Pennsville A (DE) played at the Blue Hen Invitational; is this Pennsville Memorial from NJ?

I have two notes next to Portsmouth Christian A (VT) and Portsmouth Christian Academy A (MA) saying that they're the same school and is actually from NH. If that's the case, is it listed elsewhere on the sheet somewhere? If not, what is the ZIP code?

Rutherford A (NC) played at the Demon Deacon Challenge; is that REACH?

The school I have listed as "Seton Hall A (MO?)" played at WUHSAC; is that the NJ team?

The "University High A (IL)" played at UIUC Earlybird.

This school is distinct from the U-High in Normal, which doesn't get out much.

And yet distinct from Uni Lab in Chicago, aka UChicago Lab.
