Registration and Fees
This tournament will cost $70. There are no discounts available but staffers associated with the school may moderate for the full moderator compensation of $40 and request that the total be deducted from the registration fee. To register for this tournament, email [email protected] with the subject line “SATURNALIA”. The body of the message should contain the following information:
- School name
- Number of teams being registered
- Any questions or comments
Moderators will be paid $40 for a day of moderating. You can register to staff by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “SATURNALIA”. Staffers from the University of Illinois will be prioritized so emailing does not guarantee a spot as a moderator.
Ruleset
This tournament will use 15-point powers, negs, and no bouncebacks. Up to 4 players may be in-game at a time. We will use 7-second timing rules rather than 5 in order to make up for online latency.
Misconduct
This tournament will not tolerate misconduct such as, but not limited to: racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, verbal harassment of players or staff, and generally inappropriate comments. A link to the misconduct form as well as the IKEA Code of Conduct, to which we’ll be adhering, will be available and visible on the server.
Cheating
Cheating will not be tolerated at this tournament. Video will be strongly suggested for all players. We reserve the right to remove anyone whom we believe to be cheating from the tournament. Our protocol for dealing with cheaters can also be found on the Code of Conduct linked above.
