South Carolina player Jake Spinella is likely transferring to UNC-Chapel Hill this fall. He'd probably like to play quizbowl there. He's a very good philosophy player and has decent knowledge in other areas.

I am fairly sure that the stats for the first NGU-Clemson game are incorrect, as it says that we got no bonus questions correct and Justin (who should have one 10 and one -5 for the entire tournament) is listed as our top scorer for that round. Congratulations to Alabama for winning. This tournament had a lot of parity, and I read for several very close matches. A bigger field would've been nice, but I was impressed with the attitude and play of the teams that played.

Those really aren't problems, Alex, nobody hosts anything right after Thanksgiving and Iowa State doesn't have a team, so I expect us at MU to literally be the only people affected by such a conflict. I will point out that in my opinion rewarding teams who have easy matches and run up scores on weaker opponents is nothing more than praising the bullies for being bullies instead of rewarding the teams that fought hard for the wins they received.
