That 10 mile drive form Rochester to RIT sounds toughNote that Rochester choose to leave instead of playing each other in the consolation bracket, so the playoffs only contain Cornell and RIT.

BATE High School Tournament Available for Mirrors
Hey everyone, The BATE High School Tournament will be available for mirrors starting the weekend of October 2nd until the end of the quizbowl season. BATE is a regular difficulty high school set (roughly the same difficulty of an NAQT IS level set or a regular season set by HSAPQ) written by myself,...

Hey,
The BATE set I'm working on as head editor/writer guy will be done at the end of the summer. It might be mirrored by Bloomfield. In any case, I would of course love to have this set mirrored by any school in the NYC area.

Out of curiosity, when you mention difficulty do you mean too easy or too hard?We will probably not use NAQT for this tournament; nothing against them, but distribution, difficulty and other factors have led to this decision.

Hey,
I am looking for a couple of people who can write well in music, computer science, and economics at the high school level to help out with some writing. You wont have to write much, but I would definitely appreciate the help. Email me at [email protected] if interested.

To the best of my knowledge, NAQT does very slight "seeding" of the sort that powerhouse matchups wont occur in round 1, i.e. there was a zero percent in this hsnct that maggie walker would be facing state college in round 1.

Good morning,
We could still use a couple (3-4 probably) writers for this tournament. I would like to get the ball rolling on this soon, so please email me at [email protected] ASAP if you're interested. Everything mentioned in the post I made back on March 28th still applies, in case you're curious.

So let's there's a tossup on George III, which ends "name this British ruler, the third king of his name". The team buzzes in and says King George. Is this promptable, correct or incorrect since the question already mentioned third king of his name?

NAQT's opinion is that hearing more tossups of a shorter length is more or less equivalent to hearing less longer tossups. I basically I'm fine with this, but what happens when you only hear 17-18 tossups a round because you don't have the greater moderator. Then you're hearing fewer tossups that ar...

I understand the criticisms of single-elimination, but it...has worked well given the size of our fields. I'm not sure what this means. You obviously have enough staff to run what essentially is round robin in the prelims (round robin as in all the teams will be playing) so you have the staff to ha...
