Re: Scattergories 3 (2019)

I'm still planning on having this run on CO Sunday, but I won't be able to make CO this year, so I'm looking for someone to run things for me in exchange for 20% of the revenue. If you'll be at CO and are interested in doing this, get in touch! I'd also love to see the questions played in person, th...

Re: 2019 Division I SCT: specific question discussion

I don't think "one of these buildings" or "one structure of this type" or something similar works, because the Palazzo Pitti is also a museum and the Palazzo Vecchio is also a town hall. That's precisely why the identifier is "this noun" - but I take your point that &qu...

Re: 2019 ACF Regionals Thanks and General Discussion

I agree with the theory behind your post, that we shouldn't ask about states in literature when it tests trivial knowledge that isn't important to the context of the works. But I don't think that's the case for the questions in this set. There were three "states in lit" tossups, one of whi...

Two small errata, both on giveaways. I believe calling "Ezekiel" a "minor prophet" to be wrong, and "Ouranos" is not the husband of Rhea. I've fixed these two errata, thanks for pointing them out! 7. This figure is deemed a watchman for the people of Israel who will be...

Something I noticed about the literature in this set is that there seemed to be a very notable number of tossups on countries in the lit.
