2019 ACF Fall at Carleton University (Ottawa, ON) (11/02/2019)
I am pleased to announce that the Eastern Canadian site of 2019 ACF Fall will be held at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The tournament will take place at a TBD location, with team check-in beginning at 9:00 and gameplay beginning at 9:30. I will be the ...

Re: 2019 ACF Fall Global Announcement: November 2, 2019
I think there are a solid number of people who are juniors and seniors in college who are not super skilled and for whom ACF Fall is still a very appropriate tournament to play. I think quizbowl tournaments should put the players first, rather than collectively imposing hundreds of writing-hours on...

Rein Otsason should be in your science polls. Aayush Rajasekaran should be in consideration for your literature polls. Both are outside shots for overall top 25.
Nobody's mentioned this so far but I think Eric Xu should be higher up in your polls than where you're gonna put him.

Where does the estimate of 30-45 minute increase if you played off all rr-playoff tiebreakers come from? I don’t think you’d save much time if, for example, at ICT only the top bracket ties were played off.

Did the pre-nationals poll even happen this year? It should at least differentiate between ACF and NAQT somehow, these polls tend to lean ACF it seems. I wonder if it would be useful for NAQT to look at whatever limited buzzpoint data on NAQT-specific categories exist over the course of regular seas...

This is a terrible decision. Why is the top bracket the only bracket worth playing a tiebreaker for? The difference between playoff brackets is significant not just for final placement (which I suppose you could argue matters less for weaker teams)— it also determines the quality of opponents that ...

Why are the NSC scoring rules the way they are? Are they likely to change in the near future? Why are PACE, ACF, IQBT separate from each other? Hello,
It says in the post for this tournament that it’s difficultly is regular minus (so EFT, Terrapin) but it also says it’s the same difficulty as 2018 FST which in turn is the same difficulty of 2017 ACF Fall. So which one is it?
Thanks,

At last year's SCT, Toronto D had a playoff record of 4-2 and Toronto E had a playoff record of 5-1, yet Toronto D is listed ahead of Toronto E (as it should be, because they tied in record and Toronto D had a higher PP20).
