Re: Kentucky 09-10

I think the Saturday of State would be best, too. That way, you would most likely have all of the state's interested players in the same spot.
I would NOT do it during the times of FPS and Comp, in case any players are in those events.

Re: Kentucky 09-10

Dunbar's March 6th tournament is HSAPQ. I'm sure we could arrange for Joe, or whoever organizes this, to use PLD's building for tryouts-maybe on the night before. I think Johnson Co. may be coming and they have some players who should consider this. I'm not sure what other KY teams are coming, yet. ...

Re: Vanderbilt ABC XXXVIII--11/7/2009

The Campbell Co. coach forwarded this Email to me today from Donn Manker at Vanderbilt that said play started at 7 p.m. Does it start at 7 p.m. EST and this is why he sent that message? Re: U of L Arts & Sciences Academic Challenge 10/17/09

Thanks, Allison! Aaron- UofL is good because they keep the cost at about $10-$15 a team, Wofford is hosting a free NAQT tournament in the spring, and some tournaments can get to almost the free mark if you bring buzzers, moderators, questions, etc. Look on-line. Sometimes, if you will contact the to...

Re: U of L Arts & Sciences Academic Challenge 10/17/09

“Manual definitely did not do the same. Our "A" team was our strongest team, "B" team was the second strongest, so on and so forth. No one who typically plays on a higher ranked team played on a lower ranked team.” We agree with Mrs. Hunt and the DuPont Manual team’s practice-thi...

Re: U of L Arts & Sciences Academic Challenge 10/17/09

Sorry, all, the Dunbar “alphabet” mess was my fault. At the time we signed up, I thought only JV players were going to be able to go. We were inundated with testing and college essays this weekend and didn’t finally find out who would really be able to participate until the night before. Sandy wasn’...

Re: Grayson County Academic Tournament, November 2009 (CANCELED)

Nick, we're sorry to hear this, too. Dunbar had also planned to send some teams. Thanks for giving everyone such prompt notice! Coaches who have to fill out lots of trip requests really appreciate such things. I know you'll have a great year. Who is your new coach? I'd like to add him/her to our Ema...

Re: Dunbar High School Tournament, March 7, 2009

Scott from Grayson- If any PLD teams are used for filling up bye spots, they would not be eligible to win any awards and the scores from playing those byes would not be reflected in the tournament standings. Our players are attempting to set up the type of tournament play they have enjoyed at some o...

Re: Russell High School Tournament KY (9/13/08)

Fred, better leave me out of this credit, too. Seeing as how our advisor is not yet here, these players are pretty much running things! I would like to say that Knupp, and all the folks at Russell, ran an extremely well executed tournament! This is one that we'll certainly keep on our list every year!
