If we look at what it says in the original post, it seems like the tournament would be 8 prelim games over 9 rounds, followed by 3 cross-over games and finals. In any case, I'm sure Matt will come up with something we would all enjoy.

I think what's been mentioned is all nice and good, but I think you guys are missing the key point. The important thing is not how you work but how much you work. You beat teams like Charter and Dorman by studying 20 hours a week when they only study 10 hours a week.

If you have 10 packets already, I would prefer a system that allows for teams to play 10 games. If you only have 9 and plan to write only 9, I guess what you have works.

No one needs to be apologetic here in asking TJ folks to get the stats up. I mean, if anything, it's TJ people who are being rude and irresponsible. Part of the implied responsibility that comes with hosting quizbowl tournaments is posting stats, and hosts who don't do it are failing their job . . ....
